Stitching and Life in the Company of Pets

Long suffering WIP and some progress :)

Isn't it interesting how our tastes and interests can change? I fell in love with this design a number of years ago, and while I've never stopped thinking it was adorable, my ability and desire  to stitch it certainly has had its ups and downs since I started it, well let's just say 10+ years ago.  However, lately it has been calling out to me again, and for a change I've been listening and actually working on this, and LOVING it!!  While not done, I've made quite a bit more headway, may I present Trick or Treat Mice :)

I'm actually on the home stretch of this now I think.  Still have the little fairy mouse on the right side to finish, then the moon on the upper left, couple stars and some back stitch (which really makes everything pop).  While not likely, it is actually a possibility it could be done by Halloween (although not framed and ready for display), but at least it will be done this year!   I so can't believe it may actually be done this year, the poor thing has been a WIP for soooooo long.

So, what's the longest you've all had a WIP for that finally was finished up and what was it?  When this is done it will be time for a major party/happy dance!

I just love this design too, but it's no piece of cake, in particular on dark fabric. But hey, this is what gives it part of its charm....
You've always been a Halloween fan, completing the most beautiful projects for the season...

I've always loved seeing how much you've gotten done on this project. I think you can finish it by this Halloween. and then you can prop it up on a pillow or something to display it!! LOL
