It's Done :)

Yup, it's finally done. I almost posted my progress this past weekend, but I was soooo close I decided to wait. While I didn't make the end of May I thought at one point I would, I finished quite a bit before Oct., my original target. I'll have plenty of time to get it framed up for Halloween this year. The coloring is a little washed out here, my prior post was a truer picture of the subtle shading in the fabric and its normal color.

Using DMC, and I think Lentil by Lakeside Linens

Not much else going on, I did manage to catch the sneak that's been getting into my bird feeder though, here's a couple of pictures of my little masked burglar.

No one sees me sneaking up to the feeder, I'll act like I'm innocently passing by

Just need to stretch a little more, almost there

What, all that work and no treats inside? I need to complain to the management!

Quite the cutie, huh. However, I do with he'd (she'd?) not knock down the feeder, it makes such a mess normally, which is probably his intention. However, as you can see in this case he was a little early and I hadn't refilled the feeder yet.

Congratulations on the finish. The little candy corns are ADORABLE.

Raccoons cause SO much trouble around here. Cute, maybe. But, BIG pests!

Six Bats turned out great! The finish makes it look so...finished! Great job.
Raccoons...oh Lord, why do we have raccoons???
Cute, scary and such troublemakers. I have a little mean spot for those critters. They got my chicken Rhoady and I have never forgiven them. So frustrating to try and keep your wild birds fed when you have a little devil after the feeder all the time! Good luck with that!

    Congratulations on another piece done!

Raccoons are rare around this part of the city, haven't seen one around our yard in years.

What lovely work! If I didn't have about 25 things unstarted that I need to do, I'd definitely do that for next Halloween. Congratulations from a fellow Michigander!

Your little thief is adorable. We actually have a nest (I think) in one of our old trees.

What a little bugger! I wonder if they make special devices to keep away black eyed bandits from bird feeders????

I'm just now trying to get caught up, but wanted to let you know how adorable your Six Bats is! I LOVE it!!

    VERY well done!!

I see that you have raccoons too! I solved their destructive tendencies in my garden by putting out a couple of large scoops of the cheapest dry cat food that you can find, each night, in two different spots on the patio, so they won't fight, along with a large dog dish full of water.

They no longer bother anything else, including our multitude of feeders, and they bring in their young, which are so cute to see!
