81 Halloween squares to go...

81 Halloween squares to go, 81 Halloween squares, get one done, show it around, 80 Halloween squares to go.

It actually fits the song. Strange what you think up when your mind starts to wander (or scary?). Well I started at 81, but now I'm down to 60, which means I'm averaging about 5 a week since I started Jan. 1. This is going quicker than I thought, my original goal of early Oct. should be met well in advance of that date. So, here is my progress for the week. Today is another bright and sunny day, so I could get another decent picture. Well I'm off to run errands while it is nice out for a change. Hope you're all having a nice weekend. While I don't watch the Superbowl, I do like to take advantage of their sales so I may do a bit of shopping too. :)

You are making great progress. Hopefully, I'll get a picture in today, although, I don't have much progress to show. Looking good!

    Love it!

Thanks for the suggestion of the fabric under the Q-Snaps. I used some old, soft kitchen towel fabric and it works GREAT! It holds the fabric nice and taut.

    Good luck on your squares.

Cool and cloudy here today. I'm thinking the rain might not hold off for the SuperBowl.

    Great progress!
I don't watch the bowl either...I work, or else I would've been home working on my squares! I was too tired to do that last night, so I have made no progress.
    Your squares are looking good!

    Hi Sue,

Okay, so now I can't get that
tune out of my head! Lol!

    Halloween Squares is growing
at a phenomenal rate and it's
    interesting to see what'll show
up in the empty squares next.
    Great Progress.

It's been years since I last
saw January Man but I remember
that it was a good story, and
I also remember it because it
was the first time that I saw
    the incredible Alan Rickman!
He went on to steal Robin Hood,
    Prince of Thieves from Kevin
    Costner and hasn't looked back
    since.

    Since Mom returned to the
    retirement residence she's been
    rejoining all her favourite
    activities, including Yarn and
    Yack. They also knit squares
for afghans as well as hats and
    booties for preemies and scarves
    and mittens around Christmas time
all to be donated to charities around this area.

I told her about your cat mats,
and I also told her about the
wool that you use and recommended for the dish cloths. I promised
to look for some of that wool for
her the next time I'm near a wool shop. Thanks for the tip/info.

To make room in my library for
more bookshelves we took my old
desk to a thrift shop near here
which sells stuff to raise money
for the local humane society. It
was sad to see the desk go, but
it helped to know that the money
they raise selling it will help
    the animals.

And now I get to rearrange the
    library. Yippee!!

    Cheers!
