Stitching and Life in the Company of Pets

And then there were .....NONE :)

Yup, I've got none of the words left to do on the doubleflips. The border even got done this weekend. The only thing I have left to do is stitch on the charms, iron, check one more time for any stray specialty fiber my four footed furry buddies may have decided to donate, and then off to the framers. I am so thrilled with finishing this. It's been a while since I took on a design this size. My DSIL Kim is almost done with hers too. We've been doing this as a SAL. No set day to work on it, just when we had time and wanted too. It is amazing how closely we kept pace given our loose SAL schedule.

Not to much else going on, work is still crazy but hopefully may start to settle down a bit soon. I'm getting some of my Halloween decorations out, so I'll leave you with one of my favorite pieces
Ghouls Night Out by Lizzie Kate This was such a fun stitch, and I loved how it looked on the blue sparkly fabric. The only part I didn't really enjoy was the patent leather fiber used for the one pair of shoes, that was a pain to stitch with

I'm off to do chores, but as it is a beautiful bright and sunny day today, it will be enjoyable to be outside. Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend.

Congratulations on the finish. It's gorgeous! I love the Hallowe'en idea as well. We don't do Hallowe'en here in Australia much at all, so it's always cute to see how others around the world celebrate.

    Hi Sue,

We've just come home from a
    wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at
    a friends home. We're both
stuffed and feeling lazy. DH is
off to bed, but I'm relaxing in
front of the computer for a few
    minutes.

I am so sorry to read about
    little Midnight. It's always so
    incredibly painful when we loose
a furbaby no matter what the
    circumstances or the pets age.
She was a lovely looking cat,
    with that lovely, sleek black
    coat and big yellow eyes.

Your newly framed pieces are all
    magnificent looking. It's hard
to pick out a favourite from all
of them, but I think that Reading,
Writing, Stitching has got to be
pretty close to it. The colour
of the threads, with the mat that
you chose for it all come together
    to make a gorgeous finish.

Snow Ho Ho also looks amazing with
the two mat colours and the lovely
    Waxing Moon design. Betcha can't
wait for Christmas so you can hang
    this one up.

And then of course there's My
Needle and My Floss, which is not
only a lovely design, but is also
a reminder of your blogging friends
    and experiences, and the ingenuity
of those bloggers who come up with
these great ideas that draw us
    closer together as a community.

I have to say that your Lizzie
Kate Ghouls Night Out is delightful.
I don't remember ever seeing this
one before, and its so cute.

    Congratulations on finishing the
    Lizzie Kate Doubleflips. It's
    quite the accomplishment, and is
such a wonderful design. This one
seems to have really meant a lot
to a great many stitchers. There's
    some really important words to
live by listed in there. It'll be
nice to see how you intend to
    frame it.

You've got some great stash to
    work on, and that Christmas
Ornaments issue is a long awaited
pleasure. I've got to order me
one of those soon, if I can't
find it at a store around here.

    We're having a magnificent
    weekend here weather wise too.
    It's incredibly warm during the
day, which is such a treat. The
    trees are looking glorious in
their Fall finery as we are in
the peak weeks for the changing
of the leaves. We must cherish
it now because it won't be here
    for very much longer.

    Cheers!

I love that Ghouls night out. It's very cute.
I haven't quite decided which project I will pick to grab up and start back on my stitching but the goddess (?) I was working on ions ago may get the vote. I was bad and did not store her properly, so I will literally be shaing off the dust and webs!
