WIP progress

This week I worked on one of my older WIP's, and I think I made pretty good headway. First, here is how he looked before this week
And this is how he looks now
Snow Ho Ho
Waxing Moon Designs
28 ct Denim Blue Jobelan

I was working on just his beard for a while, but decided to go back and do the backstitch to create his other eye and smile. I think he looks much better with his face (and no longer like the cyclops snowman, lol). He's been sitting negleted in my WIP pile for almost a year now. However, somehow I don't think he'll languish that long again. While we are past Christmas, there's still plenty of winter left (unfortunately), so I think I can have quite a good amount done before the weather starts to turn.

Great progress on this snowman! I think you're right: now that he's got his face done, he won't stay in the pile...
Thank you, Sue, for your kind comment on my blog lately. I was very touched.
    Lots of hugs,

Very cute! Sometimes I find that I'd rather go and back stitch a piece as I go along rather then having to do it all at the end.

Thanks for the note you left about Misha on my blog *hugs*

He's so sweet and much more appealing with both eyes! Stitching in one colour though can get a little tedious. I love the fabric colour you are using, its perfect for him.

    Hi Sue,

I really love this guy that you're stitching on. He's so cute, and he's got the greatest facial expression.

I like the fabric that you're stitching it on too. It really makes the beard and everything pop.

Re: your answer to my question on my blog...I like your idea of stitching samplers or other designs that represent another country, and then making up a wall of them. Especially if it's someplace you've been to on holiday or someplace that you want to go to someday.

    Cheers!
