Little more progress and taxes

I did make some more headway on Snow Ho Ho this week. His beard is now done and I'm working on his coat. I really like how he's starting to look. Hopefully the enjoyment will still be there when I start putting in the border. While the border will really set it off, I tend to have a hard time staying motivated with borders, and projects drift back into WIP/UFO piles on occasion. However, the border for this is a lovely variegated blue, with a little bit of white here and there. Since blue is my favorite color, that should help keep my attention.

One of the reasons I didn't make a little more headway this week was taxes. Ugh, I hate doing those. I was good though and stayed focused and, THEY'RE DONE (big happy dance). So, mine are all finished and in the mail. Unfortunately I also do my daughters for her, so those are still in the to be done stack. Those are on my list to finish this week, at least her federal one. Still thinking through how to deal with the state(s). Since the circus plays in lots of states, they withhold taxes from her for the different states she works in. Some are easy, for example she worked in Florida but they don't have a state tax. However, she also worked in Texas, Michigan, Connecticut,..... so that should be ummmm interesting.

It was bright and sunny today, seeing the sun was so nice. I'm one of those people who really need sun, it just makes my whole outlook on life so much better. Tomorrow should have sun again too, with a high up to 34, this is shaping up to be a very nice weekend.

    Snow Ho Ho is adorable!

What a nightmare for your daughter's taxes!!! Wouldn't you think they could just pay her from a central corporate location? Sure would make April 15 a lot easier.

Very cute! I'm not a fan of borders either, but they can look really effective.

Here's amazing progress!!! I didn't know about those taxes different from state to state. As if it weren't a big chore already...
Border: I tend to do a little bit of it as I go because when I keep it for the end, I tend to not finish it in a loooong time...
    Have a nice week,
    Lili

    Cute, cute!

Just FYI - no state income taxes in Texas. Good luck with the taxes - I hate doing them so I don't do them anymore - I pay someone for that!

Wow, you're making good progress! At the rate you're going, you won't be able to bring him to camp. Good luck on Amber's taxes. Boy that sounds like a nightmare and a brain dead way of doing things. I would have thought that they would have just taken taxes from the state where their base is. Ugh! On the plus side, I would think she wouldn't earn enough in any state to owe anything. 8)

Oh dear me...my poor knitting. I had to set it aside last week to go to class. My middle daughter's dog got ahold of it and tangled everything. The dog is now no longer residing at this place. (Not just because of the knitting) I managed to straighten it all out, but can't seem to sit still long enough lately to pick it up. I was going to do some last night. I picked up the knitting and the book I thought was the one that had the pattern in it. I got all settled in bed, comfy and cozy, and realized that I had picked up the wrong book, then didn't want to get uncomfortable again. Hopefully, the evenings this week will be quieter and more back to what I wish was normal, so I can pick up all my hobbies once again! I will share when I get going on it, I promise!

Snow Ho Ho is just too cute! Is this a Waxing Moon pattern? I know you've probably told us already but my mind isn't retaining lately.

My taxes won't take long so I suppose I should get started. I tend to procrastinate with this every year. I think it has something to do with hating math!
