Britty Kitty and weekend plans
Well I did it again, I couldn't resist starting something new. Actually I had a two part reason for this new one. First, I love the pattern, Brittercup patterns are so cute, and I really like the Britty Kitty ones. Second, since I've been hopping around so much on projects I feel like nothing is getting done, and I really wanted to be able to have a finish so.....here is what I finished last night.

This little guy was so cute, and he'll be so much fun peeking out from my bookshelf. This was a present earlier from my sister-in-law. She kitted it up for me, including making me the adorable little tuck pillow to put him in when I was finished. Tuck pillow projects are great, the finishing is so easy, tuck it in and you're done, can't beat that.
I'm getting really excited about the stitching getaway I'm going to this weekend. My local LNS (about an hour from me) is hosting a stitching weekend and so I'm going to hang out at the hotel and the shop from Fri. till Sun. morning and do nothing but stitch, chat, stitch, shop, stitch, munch, stitch, admire what everyone else is doing, and more stitching. I can't wait. The best part is my favorite stitching buddy, my sister-in-law, is going to be there too. I can't believe how lucky I am to have her, and they just moved even closer. Before they were about 5 hours away in Ohio (but at least that was closer than when they lived in Georgia or Calif.) but they just moved over to near Grand Rapids, only about an hour from me now. I'll get to see Kim, and my nephews and brother so much more. My folks (who live very close to me) are incredibly happy to be closer to them now as well. Hopefully Kim will be able to stay awake to stitch, since they have been so busy getting ready to move. In fact, the moving van loaded up yesterday and tomorrow will be at their new house at 8 am to unload. She'll spend the day unpacking, and then Fri. take off for our getaway (leaving my brother and nephews to work on the rest of the unpacking, how's that for timing?).
So far I haven't been able to decide what all I want to take with me to work on at the stitching retreat, but I still have tomorrow to decide on that. Actually, considering all the goodies I usually find at the shop, I could easily take no projects as I'm sure I'll pick up several new ones that I'd like to have and start while I'm there. At this point I'm leaning towards taking Snow Ho Ho and my little Santa Teddy Bear to work on, but we'll see.
